Dedicated to Empowering Tunisian SMEs Through Financial Expertise
I am the Managing Director and co-founder of IEG Tunisia, with over 20 years in banking. I specialize in financing SMEs, fundraising, restructuring, and M&A. Previously, I managed equity investments, and I was the Head of Commercial Banking division at BIAT bank. I also manage several companies in tourism and real estate and hold an MBA from Barney School of Business.
Driving High-Impact M&A Success:
I led the strategic advisory for Our Co Consortium, guiding their fundraising and expansion efforts. I also steered the sale process for Carthage Cement, a major player of the industry, although the deal didn’t conclude. Finally, I actively participated in the orchestration of the successful sale of Cady to the mass distribution company “Carrefour Tunisia”, further enhancing my M&A expertise across multiple sectors.
From Banking Veteran to M&A Advisor
After over 20 years in banking, I saw an opportunity to apply my deep knowledge of the Tunisian market and SMEs in a new way. Founding an M&A firm allowed me to leverage my experience in corporate finance, fundraising, and restructuring to support companies more directly. My goal is to continue helping companies grow, but in a more advisory-focused role.
AI Meets Hospitality: Innovating Tourism
I’m passionate about the tourism and real estate sectors, having managed several hotels and companies in Tunisia. I believe Artificial Intelligence and modern technologies can help classic hotels improve guest experiences, from personalized recommendations to optimizing operations like room management and pricing. By embracing these tools, traditional hotels can compete more effectively and offer a unique blend of heritage and innovation.
Discovering Balance in Sports
In my free time, I enjoy both tennis and golf, though I lean towards golf. What I appreciate most about the game is that your progress isn’t limited by your opponent’s skill level—you’re always in control of your performance. The more I play, the more I realize how much I love the challenge and serenity that golf brings.

Driving Growth: Major M&A Deals and Strategic Transformations in Tunisia and beyond
I led several notable deals: the sale of CADY to Carrefour, Denim Authority’s fundraising and subsequent management buyout from institutional investors, and Propann’s expansion fundraising. Additionally, I managed PEC Group’s two-digit million dinars recapitalization, its development of PECMED, and various strategic investments within the PEC group.
From Banking to M&A: A Natural Transition
With years of experience in corporate financing, restructuring, and optimizing financial strategies, pursuing M&A feels like a natural progression. I’ve had the opportunity to work on structuring complex deals and analyzing investment opportunities, which has prepared me to contribute meaningfully to the M&A space and support businesses through strategic growth and financial optimization.
Passion for Progress: Cleantech, Mobility, and FinTech for a Sustainable Tomorrow
My passion for Cleantech and mobility stems from their pivotal role in ecological transition and sustainable economic growth. These sectors are key to building a better future. With my background in banking, I’m inspired by FinTechs optimizing financial institutions’ value chains. And as a startup investor, I’m committed to fostering innovation and growth in these transformative industries.
Finding Peace: Fishing and Relaxing on Tunisia's Southeast Coast
I enjoy fishing on the southeast coast of Tunisia, where the waters are clear and peaceful. It’s a quiet spot with beautiful sea views, perfect for unwinding. Being out on the water helps me disconnect and recharge—it’s one of my favorite ways to spend time, especially since I’ve always loved the sea.

Embracing Growth and Connections
M&A is all about continuous learning and growth. Each deal is unique, offering new challenges that help me develop my hard and soft skills even further. I love how the process pushes me to get better with every transaction. Plus, it’s a great way to meet and connect with inspiring people who make the journey even more rewarding.
AI’s Impact and Transformative Potential
I’m passionate about tech, particularly the application of AI across various fields. I’m especially excited about AI’s potential in healthtech and its transformative impact. I also have a strong interest in agritech for its benefits to local farmers and fintech for its role in enhancing financial inclusion for underserved populations, especially in Africa. Supporting and helping local startups that contribute to a meaningful change is a source of my daily motivation.
Staying Active and Cherishing Family Time
As a former tennis player, I switched to padel and it quickly became a passion. Playing two or three times a week not only helps me maintain a healthy lifestyle, but also allows me to enjoy meeting new partners with a positive and winning mindset.
When I’m not playing Padel, I cherish spending quality time with my wife and my two boys. This combination of physical activity and family time keeps me energized and grounded, balancing my professional and personal life.
