The Deal The shareholders of TOBIS GmbH & Co. KG sold their shares to a group of private investors and to part of the existing management. IEG – Investment Banking Group acted as exclusive financial advisor to the former TOBIS shareholders during the entire process.
The Client TOBIS FILM is one of the oldest and most active German film distributors and one the leading independent movie distributor for cinemas and home-entertainment in the German-speaking region.
The Perspective In addition to its existing core activities, the company will expand into new lines of business. Theodor Gringel who continues to be a Managing Director of TOBIS, Timm Oberwelland and Peter Eiff will form the German film distributor’s new executive board.
