Eight trends that change ALL industries - Stefan Heilmann - Wirtschaftsclub Dusseldorf

THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION and the digitalization have impacted the everyday life of each individual. Consequently this also affects the customer's expectations, demands and behaviour. So, the importance of mobile will still increase. A trend that is proven, for instance, by Facebook's quarterly revenue numbers. In the fourth quarter of 2015, Facebook made 4.488 bn USD from mobile advertisement alone.

One of the Eight Trends: New Ownership

ALSO, THE CONCEPT OF OWNERSHIP has completely changed over the last years. Instead of owning property, consumers are more interested in sharing it. Besides airbnb, Spotify or blablacar, wework is the best example for the success and potential of this trend. Within 18 months, wework's valuation exploded from 5 bn USD in December 2014 to 16 bn USD in March 2016. In general, consumers expect a simple and user-intuitive interface for every product and more than ever the user engagement is triggered by rich and unique content. Data and digital health have become major buzzwords. Both trends offer great profit, opportunity and possibilities. The complete presentation about the 8 trends can be downloaded here
