The Deal mobile.de has successfully acquired Motor-Talk GmbH. Tom Kedor und Bert Schulzki, both Managing Directors at Motor-Talk, and Malte Krüger, CEO at mobile.de, will form the new management of the German automotive community. IEG - Investment Banking group has acted as exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Motor-Talk GmbH.

The Partners Motor-Talk is the biggest European online automobile and motor platform. 2.6 million registered users get informed about all topics related to automotive from wide-spread editorial content and exchange ideas with likeminded people in various blogs and forums. mobile.de was founded in 1996 and is with 10.81 million unique users per month (source: AGOF Internet Facts) the most visited online car market for selling and buying cars in Germany. Currently, there are more than 1.4 million cars listed. Therefore, mobile.de offers the biggest selection of cars, commercial vehicles and motorbikes.

The Perspective The core business units of Motor-Talk will remain the same. Nevertheless the new management will focus on further developing them. Motor-Talk CEO Tom Kedor says about the deal that “mobile.de and Motor-Talk complement each other in many areas. Together, we want to accompany the drivers even more during their automotive life and especially support them during the car purchases. At the same time, we want to help the automotive industry by reaching the drivers and understanding them better.”
