The Partners Sevenload is a global social media platform that provides photos, videos, interactive show formats, and user generated content. Burda Digital Ventures is the VC fund of the Hubert Burda Media Group and invests in companies in the business-to-consumer market that show synergies with the existing portfolio.

The Deal Sevenload has successfully completed a EUR 8m first round financing led by Burda Digital, a Hubert Burda Media company. In the process, Burda acquired around 20 per cent of the shares in Sevenload. IEG - Investment Banking Group has acted as advisor to sevenload.

The Perspective Little will change at Sevenload. The founders Axel Schmiegelow and Ibrahim Evsan will remain in their leading positions. Burda wants to use its brands "Bunte", "Focus", "Freundin" or "Cinema" to strengthen Sevenload, and the company is also to expand abroad. The group is also planning further takeovers.
