AI - What is, can and should?

Stefan Heilmann joins the discussion about the impact of Artificial Intelligence in E-Health focusing on intelligent medical products and provides an insightful review and interesting prognoses of the future.

WHAT IS, CAN AND SHOULD? This is the topic of EY Germany's session focusing on the role of Artifical Intelligence in E-Health. The event takes place on October 24th 2019 from 5 till 9 at etventure Kreuzberg in the room "Galaxy".

According to EY, no other industry is impacted more by Artificial Intelligence than Healthcare. Telemedicine, Health Robots or Automatic Image Analysis are just a few examples of applications that illustrate the wide range of possibilities in which Artificial Intelligence already plays or will play an increasingly important role. And although the benefits are hard to deny, there are great challenges in dealing with AI - from data protection and information security to ethics and morals. Stefan Heilmann, Group CEO at IEG and Co-Founder of DoctorBox, knows the challenges of the digital transformation witin the German Healthcare sector and the concerns people have regarding sharing their personal health records. Therefore, Stefan Heilmann, as an expert regarding E-Health, Data and Artificial Intelligence, is the perfect candidate to contribute exciting insights and new and innovative angles to the discussion. Just recently DoctorBox, the digital health record, started a cooperation with NOVENTI.

Besides Stefan Heilmann, Dr. Gottfried Ludewig, Head of the Digitisation and Innovation Department at the Federal Ministry of Healthcare, Prof. Dr. med. Peter Horn, Specialist in Neurosurgery, PD Dr. Dominik Pförringer, Specialist for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery / AG Digitalisation DGOU, Lars Roemheld, hih Director AI & Data and DR. Bernhard Tenckhoff, Head of ISI - Innovation, Strategic Analysis and IT Consulting for the Kassenärtzliche Bundesvereinigung and Specialist for Internal Medicine will join the event and participate in the discussion.

The event starts at 5 pm with an opening speech by Dr. Abdullah Sahyoun, Data Analst, Bioinformatician and Head of the EY Initiative AI in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This will be followed by a brief introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Medicine as well as two panel discussions on the topics " Current Situation and Developments in the field of AI " and "Future Forecast of AI-based Medicine - Opportunities and Challenges".

Stefan Heilmann will join the first panel from 5:45 till 6:45 pm on Oct. 24th 2019.
