Startup Village in Moscow

STARTUP VILLAGE IS THE MOST LARGE-SCALE startup conference in Russia and CIS countries for technology entrepreneurs organized by the Skolkovo Foundation. The conferences is targeted towards startup founders and innovators to meet other successful entrepreneurs, investors, and large tech corporations and to form a unique and vibrant platform. In recent years Startup Village has attracted more than 15,000 participants from 78 countries and entertained the audience with a full agenda of over 100 sessions.

Stefan Heilmann attended the conference and was in Moscow from May 29th to May 30th. On its first conference day, Stefan Heilmann joined the panel "Shake Your Money Maker. Heading Fintech". During this session, the panelist talked about the recent trends in Fintech, focusing especially on how blockchain technology, crowdfunding, robo-advisors, and mobile payment systems have shaped financial technologies. Stefan Heilmann was joined by Sergey Solonin, Co-Founder and CEO at QIWI and Brian Dixon, COO at Capital Innovators. The panel was moderated by Stuart Lawson, Senior Advisor at EY. Besides Fintech, this conference 2019 has focused among others on Energy and Energy Efficiency, Industry 4.0, Digital Health and Smart Cities and Smart Spaces.

To top the event of, Stefan Heilmann in cooperation with Pekka Viljakainen hosted the 44th DIGITAL FRIENDS DINNER in Moscow. It was the first DFD in Russia.
