The Deal The ALBA Group has successfully sold its majority stake in Grupa TOM to a private investor. Selling the majority stake in TOM Group is part of the restructuring and optimisation process Alba has started in 2014. IEG acted as exclusive financial advisor to Alba.

The Partners The ALBA Group, a family-run company, is one of the ten largest corporate groups for recycling services and raw material supply worldwide with an annual turnover of apporx. EUR 1.8bn and about 7,500 employees. They market approx. 5 million tonnes of raw materials each year. Moreover, ALBA Group covers the whole range of environmental services: starting with advice about waste management issues to the licencing of packaging on the so-called dual system market, the provision of reliable recycling solutions and state-of-the-art sorting technology to innovate logistics and product development. TOM Spółka z o.o. with its business seat in Szczecin has dealt with the recycling of raw materials in the form of scrap, non-ferrous metals, waste paper, foil, PET bottles, glass and waste electrical and electronic equipment since the year 1990.
