The Background The development of the Internet of Things through connection of all devices is on a continuous growth path. The increasing miniaturisation of consumer products and therefore also of microprocessors constantly poses new challenges to the manufacturers of electronic components. Moreover, in a connected world these components must fulfil the highest requirements in terms of performance, stability and interference-free connections. Manufacturers of these components therefore need to be highly innovative in order to offer small, but powerful products.

The Deal The acquisition of IQD Frequency Products (Crewkerne/Great Britain) by Würth Elektronik eiSos (Waldenburg/Germany) in November 2017 combines now two partners, who are both exemplary for innovation and highest product quality. IEG – Investment Banking Group acted as M&A Advisor for Würth.

The Partners Würth Elektronik eiSos (which is short for “EMC & Inductive Solutions”) produces electronic and electromechanical components. “There is virtually no electronic device in Europe that does not house one of our components”, explains Oliver Konz, one of the CEOs of Würth Elektronik eiSos.
