7th Sports Medicine Expert Meeting in Berlin
Stefan Heilmann introduces DoctorBox, the digital patient file as the way for the future during the 7th Sports Medicine Expert Meeting in June 2018.
THE NEEDS OF SPORTS MEDICINE in professional and amateur sports require a regular update of knowledge. The professional, interdisciplinary cooperation of the individual departments must ensure that the daily work with amateur, top and professional athletes is standardized and most importantly comprehensible for everyone included. This year's event brings together medical "sports experts" from a wide range of specialist fields and sports disciplines.
Stefan Heilmann, CEO at IEG, joins the session and introduces DoctorBox, the digital patient file, to the present audience. DoctorBox allows its users to have full access to their own personal health data; including information about prescriptions, past, present and future treatments, doctors' appointments and much more. Since October 2017 the app is available for iOS devices; Android will follow early 2018. Footballers such as Halil Saveni (Vfl Osnabrück) and Isabel Kerschowski (Vfl Wolfsburg, National Team) are already using DoctorBox to facilitate their medical treatment.
